About Me
I’ve always been interested in creative work since I was a kid. I found my passion for acting after watching the hugely talented David Tennant play the charismatic Doctor in Doctor Who. I then went on to study drama, screen acting, film and television studies in college and university. Where I played a variety of characters and created my own short films. Falling in love with both sides of the industry. Learning not only to act but to write, direct, film and edit as well. I uploaded this work to my YouTube channel where I also make tributes to my favourite shows and films. My proudest short film is Dear, Future Me. My final project for the MA Screen Acting course at The University for the Creative Arts. When I decided to do a masters course, I knew that I had to push myself. So before I started, I knew my final project had to be my biggest short film. Had no idea what it would be about but knew it had to be my biggest. That was difficult to come up with, finding a story that fit the standards I set. In the end, it went back to what I enjoy. I'm a big Doctor Who fan, I love time travel and sci-fi. So let's do that. So I created this story about a student photographer called Clive. Who has his dreams challenged when he meets his future self from 10 years in the future. Learning his life may not go in the way he hoped. This provided me with the opportunity to play multiple versions of the same character, at different points in his life. Which was different to multi-rolling and playing multiple different characters. In this case, it's the same character but with different experiences that brought out different aspects of their personality. Also, I didn't have a crew. I had a little help but mostly directed and filmed it myself too. So I found as director I looked back at the footage and then had to navigate my performance to best fit the shot. So whilst at moments I felt I gave a good performance, I had to adjust it to get the shots I wanted. Learning that the best way I felt to portray that moment doesn't always fit the shot needed. So it was a great learning curve for this film and I'm proud of how it's turned out.

I hope my work shows that I’m dedicated, hardworking, creative and a problem solver. Making sure my performance and films are up to a high standard, with an engaging story and character that the audience can connect with. Anything that doesn't work, needs adjusting or be rewritten I can figure out what is the best option to make sure everything is put back on track and benefits the film/performance. I also encourage teamwork. It’s important to work as a team, understanding the group’s point of view and exploring the ideas they bring. Working together to understand the relationships and themes involved. It is fun to present these stories and themes, it’s also important to portray them effectively. I’m constantly asking how I can make it better and understand who these characters are. You know an idea is great when you keep thinking of ways to expand it.
Outside of education, I’ve also acted in plays for the Broad-Ways Theatre and Film Society. I’ve done work with Brecon Little Theatre, performing as two historical figures for A Time Traveller's Guide to Theatrical Brecon and I’ve done supporting artist work. Playing a student on every series of Sex Education and a visitor on a few episodes of Casualty. I’m hoping to find bigger, speaking parts in the industry that utilise the experience and skills I picked up from education and expand upon them. To improve as an actor and filmmaker; Bringing many more amazing stories, characters and worlds to life.
